I am a retired mathematics educator/administrator with 34 years of service in Virginia.  I began consulting for EAI back in 2003 while serving as mathematics coordinating teacher in Salem.  I found myself purchasing lots of great stuff from this company and the owner started sending me items to look over and give opinions.  After that, I started writing some content for secondary mathematics with my fellow instructor Kevin and also began helping out at conferences.  I look forward to speaking with you all at our booth!

Education is my first love and second career. After spending the first 20 years of my adult life in accounting life changed and I realized it was time to pursue my love of education and I have not looked back since.
I have taught collaborative, general education and gifted class and am endorsed middle school mathematics, algebra and gifted k-12. in addition to traditional k12 classes i have worked with SAT and SOL and spent over 10 years teaching GED. I love collaborating with other teachers as well as curriculum writing.

I truly am a life long learner and educator!

Jenna received her MSSEd (K-8) from Lesley University. After years in the classroom in Boston and Weston, she joined ExploreLearning, where she shares her love of science and math with educators, models in classrooms, attends and presents at conferences, and loves learning new ideas from educators on social media.

I am a past classroom teacher, math coach, school improvement specialist, and professional development schools coordinator. I am currently a K-5 math author and consultant. I love working with K-5 teachers to find new and exciting ways to nurture their students' math understanding and develop a love of mathematics. I have been an educator for 20+ years with jobs ranging from secondary education (social studies), the Coordinator of Innovative Learning (Powhatan County), and now as the VVAAS Coordinator for the VDOE. I love to learn new things and share what I learn with others. Outside in my garden, I'm learning about native plants and how to help my local environment by expanding my plant selection. This is a brief bio.

Math is Money is a financial education program for middle, high school, and college students. Math is Money models how students need to master the basics of Math to build generational wealth. Students will learn about assets, investing in stocks, starting a business, buying and leasing real estate, “If you can do Math, then you can put money in your pocket!”

I teach Algebra I in parts and semester as well as Remedial Algebra Readiness.

Patty is Director of Online Learning and Regional On-Site Support for the Northeast at New Perspectives on Learning.  She is passionate about providing an equitable math education for ALL students and therefore was drawn to Context For Learning Mathematics from the moment she was introduced to it. Patty has previous experience as a classroom teacher and an Instructional Coach and now supports schools and districts implementing CFLM and navigating the many resources provided by New Perspectives both online and in person.
